Cheesebox Canyon is an extreme adventure hike requiring a lot of climbing, hiking, stemming, rappelling, and swimming. Cheesebox canyon is a full day trip hiking through some of the most remote landsacpe within the Bears Ears National Monument. This hike requires an early morning start and lots of equipment to get us through the canyon. Cheesebox is a beautiful canyon that allows one the opportunity to practice a lot of the basic Canyoneering skills - with multiple down climbs and rappels one after another you won't get bored and will have a great time with the constantly changing skill set that you will be using.

Distance Roundtrip = 9 miles - Elevation gain/loss = 1725ft.
Trips meets and leaves from our office in Blanding Utah at 7:00 a.m. We can arrange to meet you at a trail head in the Cedar Mesa area, our meet time out there will be approx. 8:15 a.m.
Please plan to wear good comfortable footwear and clothing that can get beat up and wear underneath a wetsuit once in the canyon. We provide all the necessary technical rope gear, harness, helmets and rappel devices needed. Wetsuits and dry bags will be provided year round for this trip.
