The Black Hole of White Canyon is an Extreme Canyoneering experience. This slot canyon is located within the Bears Ears National Monument and is a full day trip which requires huge stamina for the duration of the hike. The trip has a few small rappels or handline slides and lots and lots and lots and lots of cold water and swimming involved. The canyon is one of the most beautiful canyons in the area and is world renowed for its sculpted walls and long fluted chambers of water-filled swims.

Trip duration is approx. 8 hours.
Distance = 8.1 Miles round trip - Elevation gain/loss = 1890ft.
Trips meets and leaves from our office in Blanding Utah at 7:30 a.m. We can arrange to meet you at the trail head area on Cedar Mesa, our meet time out there will be approx. 8:45 a.m.
Please plan to wear good comfortable footwear and clothing that can get beat up and swim in. Also items that can be worn underneath a wetsuit. We provide all the necessary technical rope gear, harness, helmets and rappel devices needed. Wetsuits and drybags will also be provided year round.

The Black Hole has many variables to consider in planning this trip. Generally it is a difficult canyon to gage the danger levels on until we are actually there. This is a canyon that will generally not be scheduled during the months of July and August due to the Monsoonal rain pattern.
